Coloured hair -- conditioner is a must!!!
Conditioner is the only way to protect your dye-damaged hair
As mentioned in or earlier posts, the cuticle of coloured hair is forced open during the processes, making the hair weak and prone to dryness. Conditioner is very important to smooth the hair cuticle and protect the hair strand from moisture loss causing dryness. Without conditioning regularly, your hair would break and split.
The conditioner used must be mild and be able to form a harmless coating on the hair strand. Most conditioners in the market are silicone based which will protect the hair because it is essentially plastic coating on the hair. But it may also cause build up overtime which are not easily removed from the hair causing build up and other complications. It is thus still better to use non-silicone alternatives e.g. natural hair oils etc.
