Does conditioner contribute to scalp aging?

Conditioner is engineered for hair not scalp.

Possible, if the conditioner is affecting the scalp pore and hair follicles. Conditioners should be applied on hair ends or shafts, and should not be applied on scalp. The nature of conditioner is to deposit oils or chemicals onto hair to make it smooth and shiny. But these ingredients will very likely clog your scalp pores or render build ups on the scalp. Moreover, the chemical deposits are not engineered to scalp or skin. Many of them are actually not “safe” for skin for prolonged period of time. Given that, conditioners not used properly may contribute to scalp aging.
