Going to Water World at Ocean Park? You need more than sunblock!

Sunblock protects your skin. What about your hair and scalp which is most exposed both sun and pool water?

防曬霜可以保護您的皮膚。但暴露在陽光和泳池水中最多的頭髮和頭皮呢?你該怎麼辦?


Some 5~7 hours of pool-water-then-sun cycle is NOT good for your hair and scalp. Water world is similar to swimming pool. The alkaline pool water will open up hair cuticle, making it less elastic and more brittle. Moreover, the chlorine in the pool water sucks the natural oils from your hair and scalp, leaving them dry, rough, and damaged.


Suitable amount of sunlight is normally good. But when your hair is already loosing its moisture with the open cuticle, the drying sun will further augment the situation. It is certainly not optimal.


大約 5 ~ 7 小時不斷的泳池水加太陽曬乾的循環,對您的頭髮和頭皮都不太好。水世界類似游泳池。鹼性池水會打開頭髮角質層,使其彈性降低,更易碎。此外,泳池水中的氯會吸收頭髮和頭皮上的天然油脂,使它們變得乾燥、粗糙和受損。


適量的陽光通常是好的。但是,當您的頭髮已經因角質層開放而失去水分時,陽光會進一步加劇這種情況。這當然不是不太理想。


The following are a few simple steps to protect your hair: 


Before the fun:

  1. wet your hair with fresh water such that hair pore have no "space" to absorb chlorine water

  2. seal your hair with barrier oil to seal off from chlorine water and moisture loss from sun.

After getting out:

  1. immediate rinse with fresh water to get rid of chlorine water

  2. clean hair and scalp with shampoo having the right acidity level to close up the pores of your scalp

  3. seal your hair again with oil or conditioner to close up the hair pores

幾個保護頭髮簡單的步驟:


進去前:

1. 用清水沖濕頭髮,讓頭髮毛孔沒有“空間”吸收氯水

2. 用適當的護髮油封住頭髮,防止水分因氯水和陽光流失


出來後:

1.立即用清水沖洗以去除氯水

2. 用酸度合適的洗髮水清潔頭髮和頭皮,收緊頭皮的毛孔

3. 再用油或護髮素封住頭髮,收緊毛孔
